London’s Atmosphere in Genting NOW!
brrrr…. I’ve never experience such a cold weather in Genting Highland before. Despite the thick mists, it was a bliss when the cool air sip into your flesh and makes you shivers on the spine. Not! *sigh… poor Hubby had a sneezy nose the whole day. The hot water in the flask now became his beverage instead of the baby.
Flowers is a women’s weakness. You have to agree with me on this.
Each time I’m here, I can’t resist this spot. And each time I’m here, they have different type of flowers :).
And each time I’m here, I must have their yummilicious hot piping cheesielicious sausage.
Look at the cheese oozing out.
Mind me. It cost me 4 ringgit for that miserable looking piece of sausage!!! But aitelyu, it is worth every penny. I’ve tried Marche’s cheese sausage and a few other famous outlet (that is including yours, Fishingman 😉 ) but no one can make their cheese sausages oozing out cheese like this one.
What is new in Genting, you might ask.
London!!!
The London atmosphere is here. The London bus, London Cafe, red telephone booths. Oh yea! That ugly looking soldier too. Do they have a specific name?
While we are there, they added 2 new rides which is still under construction – the Pirate Ship for the grown-up and a Choo-choo train rides for the toddlers. December will be the perfect month if you are planning to go Genting since the place will be decorated in Chrismassy mood. But bear in mind of the uninvited crowd unless you go there makan angin or jalan-jalan only.
The Emergency pitstop is new too.
Looks like human nowadays can’t live a single minute without mobilephone huh.
It’s a good excuse too for the man, “Darling, you go on the rides with the kids while I’m waiting for my mobile phone to charge.” teeheehee…

The Queen says: Weather is unpredicable here. One minute they are hot, another minute cold until can die lidat. It depends also when they are bringing down the christmas deco. But too early for CNY deco *sigh. But January is free of crowd since the children in Malaysia is back to school.

Lucky I didn’t bring my kids to Genting this time, looks too cold for them. The last time we went, Ryan had pneumonia when he came back. But I do miss that place *sigh* perhaps when they are older….

Where is Genting? Is that the highlands? Hope it is fog and not Indonesian smoke.
But what a cute looking place with all of its London themed stuff. He looks like a member of the Grenadier Guard or the Welsh Guard which wears the traditional red coat. The way you tell is looking at the buttons. If the buttons are single then he represents the Grenadier Guard. If the buttons are in a two set of five then he is the Welsh Guards. Both of those units wear the plume on the left of the Bearskin Cap. Which made a dandy target for yankee guns. tee hee!
The Queen says: Definitely that is fog!!! Genting Highland is situated 2000m above sea level.  Ah… thanks a lot for the explanation on the Guard.

Heehee HQ, the phone charger is a novel idea. And Joseph would go gaga over the double decker!! Haha.
SA, thanks for the history lesson 😉 Looks like a grenadier guard doesn’t he? haha. actually .. i don’t think they would’ve done so much research… probably just taken a look at an episode of Mr. Bean.
The Queen says: No wonder I found the Guard looking so familiar. Yes! He looks like Mr Bean!!!ÂÂ

Bet it wasn’t anywhere as cold as Paris Disneyland was! LOL.. Waaaa, I haven’t seen Gentings like that before! The last time I went, it was about 3am in the morning! Everything was just dark (and yes, it was VERY COLD at 3am too!!, I suddenly remembered!)

Hi SJ,
That sausage skinless-lah, I think hor…. they are able to precook the sausage with the cheese inside coz they use cellulose casing and the cheese kenot go through the casing. They later peeled the casing off but the cheese already encased by the sausage mixture already when it hardens. I tried using mozzarella cheese and during the initial cooking it comes through the natural casing and . So have to use cheddar cheese which has a stronger taste but not so gooey-lor… what to do? natural casing better bite-mah…
So syiok your children so big already and can go play like that, I still kenot-lah. Long way t go sommore.
The Queen says: I was thinking if you can cut the cheese in bigger chunk rather than shread them? Wah, you envy me ka? I’m currently admiring those single couple. They go anywhere without a self-centered noise maker child.

Actually been thinking of doing that since I got the heavy duty stuffer but everytime tak jadi. It’s not easy slicing through a 1kg block of cheese coz it sticks to the knife. I think I need a new fillet knife alreadi. (wooohoooo got new excuse to spend $ buying knives). Thanks for the reminder.
ps. wanna try some experimental christmas sausage foc? Be making them soon. If you dare to try I’ll pass them to your hubby when they’re ready.
The Queen says: Wah, FOC sure I want la. I find the mini size very handy. Shouldn’t have order from you the footlong size. I’ll e-mail you 😉

Now is winter,no doubt the mists will cover the whole outdoor, but still the outdoor is open??? Last time i remember when the mist was to thick, they sure closed the outdoor (reason because not safety). Anyway i was suprise that they got the “Emergency pit stop” I was wonder who will stand there wait they phone charge until full huh? Hehe..Last time i broke my personal record by taking bath using cold water in genting at the morning haha~~

HQ: maybe we’ll go Genting next time i’m back 🙂
Fishingman: i heard if you put the cheese in the fridge or the freezer for a bit before slicing, the knife will go through easier in more “regular” chunks rather than squish it flatter too..

I wanna go to Genting too!!!!! My kids loved it the last time we were up there, but we only made it a day trip.. next trip we definitely have to stay over night! 🙂 so while the kids are in bed, we can sneak out to the casino~~ hahaha not like we gamble.. :p Hubby hates losing, so.. But there must be a pub around somewhere.. hehehe
Ppl are allowed to go on the double deckers?? or just decoration only?
Christmas coming liao.. you guys heading back to sitiawan ?? have to catch up when you guys do.. 🙂
The Queen says: I would advise you to go after the school holiday as it is now very very pack with crowds. I’ve never step in the casino before not because I hate losing. SCARE to lose. Kiasu ma. hehe. There is lots of eateries, cafe and even Starbuck there. Pub ah… dunno la. The double deckers for deco purpose only. ÂÂ
:( This Christmas we are celebrating in KL. But don’t worry, CNY sure go back wan. I’ll give you a buzz ;)ÂÂ

[…] Yup, fyi, there are lots of double decker buses now in Klang Valley. So if you or your son is eager to hop on the double decker bus, don’t have to travel all the way up to Genting Highland and all you get is just standing next to the London bus to take pic. KL or PJ got plenty of them now. […]

[…] It’s not fair to list only one vacation as I’ve got tons of them. Like Giddy Tigers, our initial plan is to go Maldives or Venice. But hubby prefer Venice and me, being a cheapskates would prefer Maldives. Then London came in the picture after our Genting Highland trip. U.S. is never in my list to travel. It just came by chance!
