Mouth-watering Monday: Jiu Hu Char with Lettuce
On some lazy weekend when I don’t feel like cooking, this is what I had.
I used to cook a big pot of Jiu Hu Char which can last me about 4 meals and store them in the freezer. Wrap them in a piece of lettuce and shove them in your mouth. Becareful not to choke yourself ah.
You can get the recipe here.

The Queen says: May, try using the red skin turnip. I wonder how they taste like.Â

So you eat it frozen? Sorry I am blur blur. 🙂
The Queen says: oops… I missed out that part. Of course you have to heat them up again by frying them in a wok/pan without adding any water. Cook them as dry as possible.  Â

The Queen says: So far, I’ve tried porky and prawn. Both also nice. But moo moo and chicken ah… unless you use the fatty part. Even for the pork I used the fatty part so that your vege will taste nice. Fei jhe yau (lard) wat!Â
